Checklist Flow Diagram?!

Featured Replies

Hi all, I'm attempting to utilize the 737 Checklists compiled by Michael Swannick, and wanted to know if thereare any diagrams of the flightdeck that will mirror or clearly identify each of the items in the checklistand the corresponding specific section of the flightdeck where that item can be located. I have the manuals that were provided with the NGX but haven't seen diagrams of each section ofthe flightdeck (ie MC Panel, Throttle Quadrant, Overhead Forward etc) and a label identifier on eachinstrument within that panel/area. I have found some information of the kind you're looking for in the second part of the a/c op manual, have you looked through that one?

In FCOM vol1 starting around page 70 you will find diagrams of the cockpit panels and how the sequence flow during checklists. Also by following the procedures in this section you will realise that there is a particular pattern of scanning through the panels. This will help guide you find this more easily as you move through the pre-start checklists.

Thank you for the reply Gents. The info in the FCOM's does not address what I require. There are no labels in the FCOM's clearly identfying each item in each area. eg: the checklist may refer to a specific item to check, however some of us may not be familiar with that item or know what or where to look to find it. Hence my question on a diagram with labels. Rgds, XCL

But each switch, light and knob is labelled in the cockpit. If you follow the checklist flow then you will know where to look for each item. There are also some good videos which go through the cold and dark setup flow.
