Agressive pitching while following VNAV

Featured Replies

Hi,Now that I am fine with S turning issues thanks to Paul settings explained in an other post, I am finding that my plane agessively pitches up and down to follow FD little variations while climbing. The AP controlled yoke moves suddenly with a big amplitude movement. My questions are : Is this normal in a modern airliner like the NG? If not, what may be the cause of this effect? Weather? Does anyone is having the same thing while flying NGX? Thanks, Pierre Laine

It only happens to me when the FSX weather changes wind direction since I dont have a registered fsuipc.

The NGX can climb pretty fast when light as it is. But those huge climb rates your seeing is when the weather temps suddenly go down a little too fast while climbing to cruise and/or some winds suddenly shift and the conditions are optimal for the NGX to climb like a bat out of hell. Not much you can do about that situation other than to set your climb rate manually.

My plane does that too, but I don't have FSUIPC. Is there any fix? It's really annoying trying to have a smooth flight, and then have to disengage my A/P because my plane oscillates like that. Tyler St. Peter
