January 15, 200422 yr Posted this on Flight One Sim Forum as well..What an AWESOME plane! Now a couple of basic questions.. First, if I want to do a traditional flight and intercept the ILS ie dial in ILS Nav Freq, can I do this in the Meridian? I don't see anyway to enter the ILS frequency or Nav frequencies. Is this A/C configured to use the Garmin GNS 530(Reality XP) only? I can use the STEC as the auto pilot, but I see no way of getting the ILS or VOR frequencies into the Multi gauge (HSI CDI etc). I looked at the docs and did a search on Nav frequency, but no hits.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Barry
January 15, 200422 yr if I want to do a>traditional flight and intercept the ILS ie dial in ILS Nav>Freq, can I do this in the Meridian?yes, I just completed such a flight I don't see anyway to>enter the ILS frequency or Nav frequencies. use the NAV/COM radio freq knobs on the left hand side of the GNS unit to dial in the freqsIs this A/C>configured to use the Garmin GNS 530(Reality XP) only? not sure I understand, are you saying the 530 OR another unit or not using the 530 at all?I can>use the STEC as the auto pilot, but I see no way of getting>the ILS or VOR frequencies into the Multi gauge (HSI CDI etc).make sure the GNS unit is in the VOR/LOC mode (indicated along the bottom of the unit) CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K

January 15, 200422 yr I'm not sure the other posts made it clear: the Garmin GNS 530 is not only a GPS, but it contains a COM and NAV radio unit as well. The COM and NAV frequencies are shown on the left side of the screen, and can be changed by using the left stacked knob.VOlker :]
January 15, 200422 yr Author ditto. The GNS is effectively an integrated instrument handling nav comms as well as GPS etc.So as said, use the knobs on the left to dial in the frequency - those are our frequencies, not just the settings for the GNS.Hope this helps, happy flying...
