Mouse Wheel Problem

Featured Replies

I Love my NGX no problems to report. How ever i am having problems with my mouse wheel that is decreasing my experience with the NGX (not an NGX problem) One day I started noticing that i could not use my mouse wheel for things like the AUTO pilot etc. I have FSUIP or however u say it lol. I have tried looking through settings and all that but cant fix the problem. O BTW i have the free version of FSUIP. Anybody have or had a similar problem and no had to repair it. Thanks for your replies.

I have had this exact problem for the last 2 or 3 weeks.I started a whole post about it - noone had an answer, and my wheel still does not work (you can use L and R click to change values on both MCP and pressurization panel setting cruise and landing altitude) I also uninstalled everything (including FSX) and then reinstalled - still did not fix...so it's a huge mystery

Unfortunate for us. Guess we have to bite the bullet

Check Windows - it may have had a kerfuffle with some mouse drivers and re-installed your mouse as an generic 2-button mouse vs. the correct one. Go in you device manager and check it out. If no luck...perhaps re-install mouse through device manager as "generic wheel-mouse" or something along those lines.

If you open a web page, does the mouse wheel scroll the document up and down? If not check the mouse control panel/utility software and make sure the wheel hasn't been assigned to some other function. Check all the FSX control settings and make sure the wheel hasn't been assigned to an axis.

I see this is an old topic, but as I stumbled over a "solution" today, I though I'd answer. Been having thesame problem myself for some time, and when thinking back I remember it started after making someconfig. changes in windows. Today I turned back the resolution settings in windows, to what I used tohave when I installed the NGX (1440x900). Lately I've been running on 1920x1080, so I'd avoid the"shift" when going from fullscreen to windowed mode.Well gues what, suddenly the rotating knobs work with the mouse wheel again... I have no idea why.Let me hear from you guys if you read this and try the sameGeirNorway
