September 24, 201114 yr Often when climbing out and I hit the 1st flap retaction speed, the second I select flaps 2, I get an autothrottle disconnect. I can't seem to work out what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas? September 24, 201114 yr This has nothing to do with the autothrottle disconnecting but, most airlines skip flaps 2 altogether. When retracting go from 5 to 1 to up. when extending 1 to 5... Mitch bowman Mitch Brown Private Pilot | Aerospace Engineering Major

September 24, 201114 yr What are using to select flaps up? Possible double key command allocated? I would look at what James says. I can select flaps 2 without any disconnect. You probably have a conflict somewhere. Brett Williamson

Mitch bowman You still have to pass through flaps 2 though. You're not actually 'skipping' it, just passing throught it. How stupid can I be...? Never even crossed my mind to think of a command conflict. I'm using the Saitek panel. Will go check the settings - thanks.
