Saitek x52 pro too soft?

I'm thinking of getting another HOTAS after my present one is aging badly.A friend of mine has the x52 pro and i went over to his place to look at it. The many programmable buttons are a real advantage- the less i use the keyborad the better.I like the techy look. it's very cool. One thing I noticed was the relatively soft feel to the joystick. It was too slack for my taste, I'd like to feel some resistance when pitching up or banking. The Hotas felt mushy. My friend didn't think so: I guess he's just used to it.He couldn't think of a way to make the stick more resisitive. Can anyone care to conmment on this? hi,I agree with you, it is too soft. I prefer the saitek X 45 which is much better. Buy one on Ebay, you can have one for a few bucks (I've got two of them!!)

Here's a neat trick to stiffen up the resistance in an x52:

I simply cut a bit of cardboard to simplify things but the basic idea's there.

I think the X45 is a little stiff, but tend to agree the X52 went too far the other way. Might be more comfortable though. I wonder if anyone has the pressure-sensing X65? scott s..

The X52 pro's are already too sticky/creaky when making fine adjustments close to the neutral point, if you apply more pressure to the springs you will make the thing even worse.

I went with logitech g940 after I got tired of my limp x52.

hi,It occured to me that the X 45 drivers could not work with w7. I have no idea in fact...
