The RAM kit i have now is: http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=342 4GB CL7 I'm thinking about buy another kit to renew the RAM. I like this: http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=356 8GB CL8 Do you think is worth to pay 59€ to give 8GB RAM instead of 4???? José Fco. September 26, 201114 yr If you're not having any problems with OOM erros, I'm not sure I would bother. If you were going to get new memory, I would suggest 4GB modules. September 26, 201114 yr These will be better because of the timing at 1600MHz 7-8-7-24 if you can afford them. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231401
September 26, 201114 yr I wouldn't expect to see a significant difference, but we know that windows will use "extra" RAM for system cache, which in theory might be helpful, and when 32 bit programs like FSX run under WoW64, the process actually gets more than 4Gb which at least in theory might be mapped into RAM if available, but then you are contemplating going from CL7 to CL8 while also increasing speed from 1333 to 1600 which would seem to be something of a wash. scott s..
September 26, 201114 yr Author I don't have any problems with my PC ... FSX runs very very good and smoother. I'M in love of PMDG NGX ... So, don't worth to change now? José Fco. September 26, 201114 yr I don't have any problems with my PC ... FSX runs very very good and smoother. I'M in love of PMDG NGX ... So, don't worth to change now? It depends, I have been thinking of an upgrade as well. If you have a spare $120 to throw at your hobby, and to remove any doubt I recommend the Sniper over the RJ series only because they are newer. http://www.newegg.co...N82E16820231459 FYI for you guys running a fixed page file size, call it what you want but I set mine to Windows managed and noticed things like IE and other programs open quicker. Feels quicker more snap. I am not prone to placebo effect and ran a fixed page file for years. Just conveying my experience.
