  1. Seriously, I did not know I had that kind of power over you....and about generally not bothering visiting this forum...you fooled me. Pretty clear to me that he tried his own computer first, several times before trying his wife's computer out of desperation. So, everybody that do not sing Kumbaya with Orbx on AVSIM"S forum has a agenda? I did not see anybody bashing Orbx in this thread but pointing out what I will call irregularity or a contradictory answer between JV's first and second post, he put his own foot in his own mouth by himself, he owns it.
  2. Oliver is right, If you got the regions before FTXG with the old installer you can always reinstall them and you'll have the switch to turn FTX/FSX on or off but as soon as you install FTXG, FTXG will remove the FTX/FSX switch from the FTX panel. As Oliver also said, additional manual task is required when uninstalling FTXG when regions are already present, Orbx did not make this convenient at all, a on/off switch would have been so convenient, you'r either in or out of FTX without messing with anything like before. Now, I don't know if the FTX/FSX switch is still there with the installer if a simmer buy his first region today from Orbx without FTXG.
  3. To whom decide to buy, install and use Orbx products only with FTXG installed should not have any issue, that is WHY they took the switcher away, do they want this to be convenient? Add on from other companies may or may not work as advertised when used with Orbx FTXG. Will you be able to install ALL of their other upcoming products without FTXG? A switch would be SOooo much better, right.....? If enough peoples ask for the switcher back will Orbx provide one like they did with the uninstaller? I doubt it....but I may be wrong, let see.
  4. You'r a smart man Daz, you know It is VERY feasible, the reason why you don't have a switch with FTXG and why after installing FTXG the FTX/FSX switch is removed from the FTX panel is obvious.
  5. I don't understand...quote from another thread..
  6. Always looking for the truth no matter how long it can take to expose it.

  7. No problem Stephen. :drinks: Avsim's forum Avsim's rules, if I broke any of them that I am not aware of or any that I have missed reading please do what's right, I should not receive any special privilege, I always knew you as a fair man... :friends: Edit: If I may, Nick as updated his post at SimForums "FTX Global and GEX - IMPORTANT UPDATE ON 8/2/2013" http://www.simforums.com/forums/ftx-global-and-gex-important-update-on-8-2-2013_topic46632.html
  8. Have you spotted this one? http://forum.avsim.net/topic/414940-ftx-global-night-lights-behaviour-with-other-add-ons/ and this one? Member Members Member ID: 285,804 41 posts Joined 10 Months and 4 Days Ago. Gender:Male Posted Today, 04:50 AM I contacted Beeteprint, the guys who make Experience X ...their nightnights( and even actually show the streetlamps) work perfect in DX10 mode and it is scaleable to how much or little you want....They made patches to make it work with UTX as well. Their reply: "Hello Steve, unfortunately our product is not compatible with Orbx. The team ORBX does not respond our emails and also ignore our desire to make ExperienceX be compatible with Orbx. Sorry." I guess FTX lead man is talking out of both sides of his mouth asking for help then refusing to work with other devs.....maybe they should rethink their stance eh? They shouldn't have tried to make a hack of using trees for lights, it doesn't work because trees don't have lights.... Unfortunately now I can't use this addon anymore due to having installed FTXG. I fly a lot at night kind of a bummer and really ###### me off for a $90.00 add-on. DX9 drops me from 60+ fps to 35 and I really don't want to go back to OOMS and slower framerates. The other thing is I don't want to hear how it's unfixable. If a 1 man dev team can make night lights using autogen and have it working perfect in DX 10 then there is absolutely zero excuse. Sorry I don't want to be fed any more BS ============================================== Funny that since you read post made here you did not try to reply on these problems, why, any truth to these problems?
  9. You are still missing the point, it's not about negativity, it's about information, peoples are now finding out that FTXG and UTX are NOT fully compatible just to take this one for example with the lights problem, other problems are reported with other sceneries also...., so it's about been honest and informative, I have no problems what so ever with you or anybody else buying FTXG, but why keeping your head in the sand and make believe that FTXG as no issue at all or that FTXG will have NO issue with other add on? Funny that you did reply about the DX10 problem but not about the other problem, since you said and I quote "EDIT: just to add, if gizmo came here with an concrete and real problem, i would have gladly helped him. I just don't like to see this negativism", so why not helping toufic83, he did not get a reply yet, I'm sure he'll be please to get your help.
  10. Yes I did. Gizmo posted the truth, nothing about negativity, you may not like it but if you read this forum and others there IS problems with FTXG not playing well with other add on, JV SAID that he could not see why FTXG would not be DX10 compatible at released... http://forum.avsim.net/topic/414526-orbx-ftx-global-not-dx10-compatible/ big problem there. for DX10 users, the funny thing is that somebody else (Steve) will have to fix it for them. Here is another thread about FTXG = problems with other add on, http://forum.avsim.net/topic/414940-ftx-global-night-lights-behaviour-with-other-add-ons/ So gizmo post is valid, since you want to balance the world find a fix for these problems so everybody can play nice together, now that would be balancing the world.
  11. Hahaha....the same can be said about you the other way around, and how could you know he was that fast? Instead of writing about why gizmo should not post something true why don't you post something that will make his post invalid, meaning that what he posted is not true at all with something that can make him look like he does not know what he's talking about.....with some proof that what he's saying is invalid. Now, if you think that showing the true colors of a product (despite the product been nice visually) is negative you are wrong, I call that informative.
  12. +1 You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. If a simmer intent to use FTXG with Orbx products only they are good to go no matter what, but what's stopping Orbx one day to change something (since they do not conform with the SDK) after you spent more money on their products and make add on from other company useless with theirs?...I'm not saying it will happen but are you welling to take that chance? This would not be the first time they change their mind about something right? Nick already raised his voice about that, he may not be the only one not liking this..... Again, if you are a diehard Orbx's customer (and there is nothing wrong with that) and you don't give a flying you know what about what may happen with other add on you are good to go.
