OK.. You did an uninstall from the DVD or the Control Panel? ..and did you do a registry clean and a reboot? This is MOST important.

Then you should really start the whole thing again, Jesse. The registry will have old pointers and data that will screw up the new install. You need to remove your logbook.bin and your shaders folders and your fsx.cfg files, as uninstalling doesn't always clear that stuff out. If we are to help get you out of this mess, we need you to follow our advice. Jim, Bert, Jahman, Ben and I have a lot of hours helping folks on this forum, and we do it willingly and voluntarily - but we need your cooperation and communication to do it. If you skip steps like this you stand the chance of introducing new problems that complicate it even further.@ Jahman - jump in any time!

I can't find sp1.exe. I could only find the installer, but it never asked me if i wanted to uninstall or repair. It just reinstalled it.
Then it wasn't installed in the first place. Best regards,Jim

Good man! The fsx.cfg is in here:- C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\Configs\The scenery config files are here:- C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX\The Logbook.BIN and all of your saved FlightPlans are here:- C:\Users\(your username)\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\The Shaders files are here:- C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\FSX\ Soo, we're going to copy those directories, do the uninstall, and then see if they're still there. If they are - you need to delete them completely - OK? - but - before you do anything - what drives do you have, how big are they, and what space is left on them?
