Dsiplaying PMDG gauges on a networked pc

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm looking for software that would allow me to view gauges (be it fsx ones or pmdg ones) on a networked pc. It would aslo be nice if one could crearte templates for different aircraft with different gauges and move them around. I guees I'm looking for something like fsXpand that doesn'y display custom gauges but already existant ones. Thanks a lot! Arthur Fabre

This is a toughie. I have seen it done, but there are difficutlies you will run into that I don't know about I'm sure. WideFS is for linking programs, not internal parts of FS. You may have to just do a google search.

Once the shared cockpit is out you could do it that way, but running it simultaneously on two systems may require a second license. I dunno if they'd amend the Eula for that or not. (I hope so...)Aside from that I don't know of any way to do it on a second pc with an addon like this.

It will be interesting to see what the SDK allows once it is released. Groups like Project Magenta have software that extracts data from FSX and then basically redraws the DU's off of the networked computer and outputs them to monitors. This has been used for some fantastic home cockpits and depending how deep the SDK allows integration, there might be several options here once it's available (crossing my fingers it's soonish...I really need my FS2Crew :) ).Eric Szczesniak
