VoxATC 6.05 No ATIS sound

Featured Replies

I have VoxATC 6.05 that I am running in the 7 day demo mode. The last two nights when I tune to the ATIS freq. displayed by VoxATC I do not here any ATIS audio. The message in the box say 'Listen to ATIS' and after a minute or so it that message disappears and the next message appears. I am flying the IFR flight plan that installed as part of the VoxATC and the ATIS worked fine at first. I have even attempted to create new flight plans at different airports with the same results. After the inital ATIS contact (which I do not hear) VoxATC communicates as normal. Any idea why I can no longer hear the ATIS message Thanks

Are trying to use Com 2? If so, it doesn't work. All communication has to be done on Com 1; ATIS included.

I am using Com1. I did find that if I key the mike a couple of times than sometimes I can hear the ATIS. Once the ATIS has completed I see the message telling me to switch freq. and after I change to the new freq. everything works normally. Just one of the Hmmm items.

Hmm, weird problem. Are you using any traffic add-ons? What operating system?

That is weird. Is this happening at all the airports with ATIS, or just one specific place? It could be a problem with the AFCAD file. Perhaps the ATIS wasn't programmed in, or it was programmed on the wrong frequency. It may not be the fault of Vox at all.

Do you have a USB headset maybe? I have found the whole sound setup with mineto be VERY dicey. This morning I forgot I didn't have it plugged in before starting upthe sim, plugged it in then, changed the sound setting in the sim to seperate normalsound and voice... and had exactly your problem, no ATIS sound. The thing is, then even after killing the sim, setting sound in the OS to the seperationthat I wanted, restarted the sim, it even showed voice as supposedly going to USBheadphones, lol, but it didn't, it went to my speakers... sigh. The thing is I KNOW itworks because it has in the past, so there must be some magic sequence I'm notaware of. Just a thought,
