Captain sim 757 version 4.5 has been released

I'm talking about the Autopilot (AP) after takeoff not the Approach. (APP). Normally I would arm LNAV and VNAV before engaging the AP. This works with all my complex models including ver 4.4 and the NGX, but when I engage the AP with this version The LNAV and VNAV disengages I then have to re-engage it. Not a big deal, but the not the way I believe it's suppose to work. (Based on other Boeing aircraft)
Sorry! I know exactly what you are talking about now. I use to arm LNAV and VNAV too before taking off but it's just as simple to engage the AP and then quickly move over and engage the LNAV/VNAV. Thanks for clearing that up! Best regards,Jim

Some mixed reports I see, but some of them I'll probably never encounter. I rarely use VNAV for descent, relying on level change instead (or whatever it's called on the 757). I also started manually landing my plane since I have the Saitek yoke - it's just way more fun. What probably will irritate me is the AP/LNAV/VNAV engagement stuff you guys talk about. It's these little things that tend to make a good plane feel sloppy.

Finally got the time to do KFLL - MUCU - KFLL. I indeed have the problem where VNAV and LNAV disengage when arming the A/P. That's in principle not even *that* annoying, but what does disturb me is that it then waits some time before actually climbing. Or rather, the A/T is so slow with moving the levers forward, that it takes ages for the plane to finally start its climb. Also, On the way back, I ahd huge trouble with VNAV. The plane just kept descending for some reason, and I have no idea why. I ended up not using it at all, instead resorting to flight level change. I have some mixed feelings about the CS757 now. I recognize now how some things are really not very realistic and I get the feeling that the modeling isn't even as accurate as I always thought. I think I'll also reinstall the QW757. I don't really trust CS's system simulation...

Agreed Benjamin, the VC view always looked too narrow to me.

Bought a boxed set from Just Flight containing C-130 hercules, 757 Captain, and a disc with Airports. On the 757 I can't align the IRS cause there's no panel and I guess that's why I can't get my LNAV and VNAV or autopilot to work. Couple other panels gone too. Anyone know what's up with that?Regards,George
