October 17, 201114 yr Please have a look at the screen shot and I would appreciate if anybody could explain me : 1) What does this triangle after the waypoint Pinot mean ? 2) What is this arrow after the waypoint BELKA for ? 3) The magenta line goes from Pinot to Indis and then to Belka which seems to be right. But what to do with the Belka-> ? Just delete it and continue ? Thanks Hubert Werni
October 17, 201114 yr What you have got is some major vertical flight path discrepancies. You have arrows indicating your manual entries, in bold, and some wacky altitudes. The CDU is showing that you will go down to 6,000 ft, up to 9,188, back down to 6,000, up again to 7,000, back down to 6,000, and then to what the FMC thinks is the correct approach altitude of 3,230. What a ride! Branton Turner

What a ride! Hello,I know it is a crazy flightplan and I had to modify it with hand entries. But:can you show me how to create a proper plan ( FSBuild ) from LSZH to LSGG.I want to land at rwy 23 and use the STAR FRI1S ( see Navigraph chart )And above all: no input by hand. That is if you have time to spare. Thanks Hubert Werni

What a ride! What are you talking about?+6000 = 6000 or above...If there is a plus in front the plane will fly at or above the given altitude. And yes, you guessed it right, -6000 = 6000 or below @Robi77 I am pretty sure that the triangle means "overfly". The airplane will fly over the the waypoint before turning instead of flyby which is the standard on the MD-11 where the airplane will turn before the waypoint. Manfred G. October 19, 201114 yr 1) What does this triangle after the waypoint Pinot mean ?Overfly this waypoint. Overflies are part of SIDs/STARs and cannot be entered manually. 2) What is this arrow after the waypoint BELKA for ?Arrows indicate the turn direction as far as I remember. Part of SIDs/STARs too, no manual definition/entry possible, just like overfly waypoints. 3) The magenta line goes from Pinot to Indis and then to Belka which seems to be right. But what to do with the Belka-> ? Just delete it and continue ?The flight plan looks not right to me (altitudes, waypoints), maybe it's a badly designed STAR in the navdata files that needs to be cleaned up. There shouldn't be such a waypoint/altitude sequence, or you'd find your plane start doing strange things after passing PINOT I guess... Andreas, LOWW - Nihil sumus et fuimus mortales.
