Has anyone try using the 737 as a AI

Featured Replies

has anyone try using the 737 as a AI with UT2... If so how does handle on FSX... Carlitos Colon

You are asking for trouble in using any flyable aircraft, but especially a fps heavy model like the NGX, as AI. Flyable models are very very complex and eat up GPU and CPU cycles, whereas AI models are purpose built to be optimized for performance so as to minimize frame rate loss. You could try it for kicks, but you will see for yourself that flight simulator will become a real slideshow at any airport with a respectable amount of traffic.

Works with FSINN. I am the Ryan Air furthest Away, and the Closer one is another Ryanair on VATSIM at Dublin. Originally he was just a plain Generic 737 AI and I manually changed him to be an NGX. Open your Browser Full and click on the image and you can see the High Res Shot. eidw001.jpg

How'd you change the AI in FSINN?

with UT2 you can assign the aircraft as a AI traffic Carlitos Colon

If your on VATSIM just find the guy in the list of multiplayers and change whatever Aircraft he using to the one you want him to appear as.

It definitely works with UT, but it's not worth it in my opinion. I like to fly with traffic at 100%, so I can't afford to have all these NGX's taxiing around all over the place killing my FPS. I suppose you can turn down the traffic slider, but then you just have a couple of NGX's in a deserted airport.
