October 20, 201114 yr Fellow Pilots, I have been wondering this for a while, and have not yet come across a post quite like this. So, do we really need to have 2D panels in the NGX? My system is not "top of the line" by any means, but I get around with frames. Would it be possible to allow us to simply turn off the 3D panels, leaving just the VC? Personally, I think 2D panels are unrealistic, and that the VC will get you as close to the real thing as possible. The only 2D panel I would keep would be the FMC for easier entries. I do not really use any of the other panels. In previous posts the developers mentioned they would be phasing the 2Ds out, but would this be a possibility for the NGX for performance purposes? NOTE: I realize the NGX is very tuned and optimized for performance, and I am not looking for a quick fix for a crappy computer. Thoughts, Ideas? October 21, 201114 yr One reason to have them I have heard PMDG specifically mention is that panel builders use some of them. That was a big reason many, but not all, were included. Tom Landry

October 21, 201114 yr If you ain´t using the 2d, it ain´t taking any resource either, more than little of ram whenyou load up the ac with it. It will do nothing to your FPS/ Leffe Leif A Mikkelsen **********************
