No V reference speed call out, while flying Ryanair

Featured Replies

I am not getting any speed call outs during take offs, is that an option as well.

Best Regards

The v1 callout is an option that can be set by the CDU, but in real life the other calls such as Vr V2 etc calls are done the FO. PMDG said they might add the Vr callout as a option due to demand.

If it is not IFR conditions it is not fun.

No, that is actually part of the simulation of the Ryanair cost-cutting-programme. Now there is only one toilet on board, only standing capacity, only one pilot left(in case of an emergency the stewardess takes over the part of the FO) and therefore no callouts anymore as it would be quite ridiculous if the captain soliloquises.

Hmmm, so you dont like Ryanair, all I can say is its a great company to work for and dont take for granted everything you hear. With regards to the callouts - we dont have the V1 aural callout on all the aircraft but we are getting it on the newer ones, our SOPs state that the V1 call out must be complete by atleast V1. Also we dont have a V2 callout much like other airlines. All we call from after setting 40% N1 is stabilised, set take off thrust, take off thrust set indications normal, 80kts, V1, Rotate. All the best Richard Wheatley

Most of the remarks directly came from M. O'Leary. He is a genius and obviously a highly talented hoaxer. I really love his deliberations about getting rid of the FO's, but the thing about the toilets is true. They asked Boeing if they could get some additional seats in instead of the second toilet.
