October 29, 201114 yr Hi fellow simmers.I love the realsim in the NGX, and I like to have everything planned before starting a flight. I just can't figure out where I can find the best and most accurate winds aloft data. I am using Active Sky Evo SP3, and I know that the program can show winds aloft, but I find it hard to make/load a flight plan in ASEWhat do you guys do to get winds aloft for your routes? October 29, 201114 yr I personally use ASE (Active Sky Evolution). However, you can also find info on most weather websites. For example, here: (scroll down, and look at the pull-down menu below the map).http://www.weather.com/maps/aviation.htmlOf course, if you're flying outside of the USA, that link is pretty much worthless. I'm sure someone can chime in with similar websites for other parts of the world. Ron Priever
October 29, 201114 yr I load the route into FSBUild then I hit load route on ASE and pull it up and let it calculate. At the bottom of the report it says "average winds" . I load that number into the route page and it works PERFECTLY! Ken Nesbitt
