  1. I own both the NGX and the 777. I have not been able to get either of them to do a correct holding, unless it is a holding directly on the route same inbound course etc. Whenever the holding requires a teardrop/offset or parallel entry, the plane seems to do whatever it want. I believe in the real plane that the entry to the holding is also drawn on the ND (from FCOM) which is not the case in either 777 or NGX. I love both products, but I would like a comment of someone who knows wether it is a limitation of FSX or PMDG was not able of getting it done realistically? As I said, I LOVE both products, but whenever I do a holding I feel like something is missing/not correct.

  3. Maybe it would be possible to choose when installing SP2 if youd prefer a HGS cockpit or a Real dimensions Cockpit without HGS.. I know that it could take a long time. I am not a programmer
  4. I would rather see the correct cockpit dimensions, since I rarely use the HGS.. Not complaining though but I think that it would make more if a simulation with correct windscreen dimension which every simmer use, instead of compromising dimensions for some feature that a lot never uses and many airlines have not installed. Just me 2 cents

  6. As far as I know their avionics for the 737NG is from a certain other develeoper, but not PMDG..
  7. I fly IFR in real world in small airplanes. I fly holdings procedures etc at 90 kts. Then I use the rule to add the wind headwind comp pr min.. IE: if I have 30 kts headwind I add 30 seconds pr minute. If its a tailwind I use half the wind componen.. If 30 kts tailwind i subtract 15 seconds pr minute.. But that only works at 90 kts, not 200.. So was just curious if anyone knew a rule of thumb like the abobe
  8. Is there a general rule of thumb of correcting outbound timing when flying rawdata in big jets? I was inspired by Nick Collets videopreview of the 777.. That got me wondering. What do you do when flying a holding at 200 kts? How do you correct the timing for known wind? Hope this makes sence!
  9. Is there any diffrence between a 2 gb and 4 gb GTX 670 in fsx? I mean, most cars have 2 gb. I only use one monitor, sort of thinking 2 gb would be enough?
  10. Thanks guys. I realize I wasnt clear in my first post. I have around 300-500 bucks to spend. I would never spend 800-1000 $ on a graphics card. I don't have that kind of money B) What would you suggest at around 3-500 $?
  11. I am currently running a rig with a i7 920 Overclocked to 4.2 Ghz hyperthreading enabled. I have 6 gigs of tripple channel ram, but an old GTX 275. When i build the machine i was on a budget, so I got the GTX 275 with around 900Mb Ram. It worked great, but now I am relly considering a new GPU, since that is my bottleneck I Guess!? I mostly play FSX, but altså other games. Until now my computer has run everything nice and smooth, but I have trouble keeping up with new games like Far Cry 3, Bioshock infinite etc. Altso it would be great to see a little performance boost in fsx with a new GPU!? What do you guys recommend?

  15. Hi guys, just wanted to share this Nice video of a 737 landing in Klagenfurt! Really nice approach descinding through a low cloud layer in Mountain terrain with ovc en 400 feet.. Really nice video!!
  16. If I recall correctly the manuals for the NGX was released around christmas 2010. The plane august 2011, so around itself came 7-8 months later But I surely hope we will se her soon though ! ^_^

  18. Hi Michael, I see what you mean, the wording in the sentence could have been better. That said, I know how to fly a real holding, and I Timed the outbound and inboubd legs, to 1 minut, but still it did not fly the correct indbound track! if flew across the indbound track, like it was offset with 30 degrees or so.
  19. Guess thats almost the same in Boeings, especially with manual thrust. The F/O uses right hand on the control collum, and left on the thrustlevers. The captain is just oposite
  20. The last couple of days I have tried some different holdings (5 different times), and I have not seen any flown correctly exept a correct direct entry. I love my NGX bit this is really bothering me. Especially when it works for some.
  21. It flew a Direct holding entry, but instead of following the magenta outbound leg, instead of levelling out it continued the turn passed the outbound leg, and proceeded at a random heading. I just tried in Amsterdam, to program a hold over Schipol VOR, but again there were some problems. The entry was fine, but when I told the plane to exit the hold via the FMC, it did not complete the second turn in the holding, but just flew a random heading again.
  22. Hi Peter! I am positively sure its not doing as it should. It is like it did another holding pattern with 30° of the one in the navigation display! The current track on the picture is what it flew as the outbound leg instead of the magenta line as in the FMC. It did a perfect direct entry into the holding, and then continued passed the outbound course and flew this "new" not right holding!
  23. Okay, I've just tried to enter a holding without any missed approach, just enter a simple holding, but the NGX, does weird things as soon as I try to fly a Holding in LNAV. I can't get it to do a normal holding!
