No Joy in Installation or Trouble Ticket

Featured Replies

I cannot seem to do anything. I installed the 737NGX to use with FSX. When I first tried to open the aircraft I get this message: "This game needs to connect to the internet. Please make sure that your internet connection is active and enter the Activation Code included with the game." Well, I entered the Product key for FSX and no joy, then I tried the Product key for Acceleration and still no joy. I got on this forum and determined this problem needed a trouble ticket, so I went to support.precisionmanuals.com and find I need to register. I create an account and am told I will get an email where I verify the account. I get the email, click on the verify link...believe it or not I get a message saying the browser cannot find the server. Depending on which browser I use I get: "Safari cannot find the server" or "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage."Consider this a cry for help!!!

The license code you need is for the ngx, not fsx. Log in to your shopping account at precisionmanuals.com & go to your order history. You will find the code you need there.

Well, duh!!! Did not take me long to make an idiot of myself in this forum, I can only offer the excuse that my senility increases with my frustration, and I was mightily frustrated when I posted. Well, I entered the PMDG activation code and the plane loaded. FSX crashes as soon as it finishes loading after pressing FLY NOW, but this is still progress. I admit I haven't yet made PMDG's recommended changes to FSX, so I'm hoping that will fix my crashing problem. If not, I'll be back...BTW, thanks, MrKen, for the gracious way you pointed out what should have been obvious.Alan

No worries Alan, we don't think you're an idiot. Just think if you hadn't happened to mention in your post that you entered the FSX key, we would have assumed you were entering the PMDG one and we all would have sent you down the wrong path. Good luck!
