November 3, 201114 yr Author Ok, so here is where I am with this problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled FSX to a folder of its own on my F: drive. Found and deleted the FSX.cfg file. Disabled user account controls and tried running FSX as an administrator. The problem still continues. Any other ideas that might fix this problem? Thanks
November 3, 201114 yr A corrupt logbook won't cause a crash, it hangs at the loading splash screen indefinitely as far as I understand it. Cheers, Andy.
November 3, 201114 yr Apologies, you did state it was a CTD. Does the event log show any useful info?Cheers.- jahman.

November 4, 201114 yr Unfortunately that crash info yeilds no other useful info.Things to try: Make sure your MSVC and .NET runtimes are up to date by running Windows Update Disable any add-ons (weather, AI, etc.) so you have a bare-bones FSX Disable all scenery loading. Did you have to activate FSX after the reinstall? When you say you reinstalled FSX, does that mean you installed FSX Deluxe, started FSX Deluxe OK, then installed Acceleration? Sorry I can't offer anything more specific.Cheers,- jahman.
November 4, 201114 yr Did you also delete all system folders of FSX?My DocumentsFlight Simulator X%appdata%MicrosftFSXsame as before, but not in Roaming, instead in Localand:ProgramDataMicrosoftFSXThere might be some remains from old FSX.But also, as jahman said, ntdll.dll is an error often caused by the system - I have had it lately too, and have been able to pinpoint it to the graphic driver. I did a uninstall, driver sweeper cleaning and haven't seen it since.
