Saving cockpit 'zoom' setting.

Featured Replies

HiI usually fly with the cockpit outside view set to 75%. This setting saves when I save the flight - but in the other views, left, right, rear etc, the setting isn't saved, so I am always having to manually adjust these after I've reloaded the flight. Is there a way save these as well? Flying the default C172.CheersJont

Jont, you should be able to add the "zoom" lines below to the panel.cfg file for the 172. Be sure to backup the panel.cfg before you try this in case it doesn't work as advertised. If there's already a [Views] section, add only the zoom lines to it.[VIEWS]VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=0.750VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_ZOOM=0.750VIEW_RIGHT_ZOOM=0.750VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_ZOOM=0.750VIEW_REAR_ZOOM=0.750VIEW_REAR_LEFT_ZOOM=0.750VIEW_LEFT_ZOOM=0.750VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT_ZOOM=0.750Please let us know if this works for you.Regards,JerryH

Hi,I'm at work so don't have access to FS2004, so I'm relying on memory. Take a look in the panel.cfg file and search for "zoom." What I don't remember is the precise phrasing (i.e., something equals a decimal ("=.75") or a percentage ("=75%"). I do remember that some panel.cfg files come with this phrasing and some don't.Sorry I can't be more specific at the moment.John

Or, just save the flight, it will all be saved.

Just saving the flight only saves the forward view zoom setting on my setup Johan.Adding the above lines to the panel.cfg sorts the others.CheersJont

Euh.. Yes thats true, sorry forgot that.

Glad you got it sorted, Jont, and Cheers to you.JerryH
