January 25, 201214 yr Thanks Howard,There is a small fortune there - both the Hog AND pedals...........Anyhow, I need the rudder function when flying the Hog (A10), so I think I will keep my Saitek X52 for a while yet.RegardsCarl MichaelYeah, the price is steep, but as a pice of kit that you will use every time you use FS or other "aircraft flying software", worth every penny, IMO.What I do for rudder is use the little grey slider to the right of the throtle. I know not the most realistic for engine failures and such, but very realistic for taxiing around the airport since it operates in the same way a tiller in a boing does.
January 25, 201214 yr One of the other things you could do to use rudder, is detach the two throttles and use the smaller one for rudder and the one on the right for throttle. January 26, 201214 yr @Alec When I disable FS Control, and use FSUIPC exclusively, my controls seem to be low resolution inside FS, the yoke moves not in a smooth way, same with the flight surfaces I think. Is that something that also happens to you?I hadn't noticed that effect. The first thing that occurs to me is this — did you follow the recommendation in the NGX Introduction document NOT to calibrate the controls within FSUIPC? If not, it might be worth assigning the controls but not calibrating them, as PMDG recommend. Check out your axis assignment page in FSUIPC: is the "Send direct to FSUIPC Calibration radio button checked? If it is, use the Rescan button and this time enable the "Send to FS as normal axis" button. It's worth a try, anyway. If that doesn't work, you could make a note of the value in the Delta box (on the same FSUIPC page) and try reducing it. The resolution of the Warthog stick is much higher than ordinary joysticks, so the suggested value in there may be too high.Best of luck,Cheers,Brian
