Taxi lights too dim?

Featured Replies

I've noticed this for a while, but ever cared muc for it, but thought I would ask just to see if this is normal. At night, I have her all fired up and begin taxiing and the taxi lihts seem way too dim. I end up having to use the landing lights to properly see the taxiway signs and markings. Is this normal?

This might depend on the addon airport you use. At FSDT KJFK you can literally see nothing. EDDM aerosoft for instance lights are "normal".

It has to do with how the taxi grounds are made. FSDT do it in another way than other developer.I have it like that, on those FSDT airport I have. I have all of them except LAX. Haven´t bought that yet./ Leffe

They seem a little dim to me, but I don't fly the real deal, so what do I know... :/But.. what I do is run all the taxi lights, and I run also the two landing lightson the right side of the landing light switches.. I forgot which those two controlas I don't have it in front of me, but if you use just those two on the right, thelight looks about how I would imagine it to on taxi..Then when I takeoff, I turn them all on and it gets much brighter.BTW, I believe those taxi lights are FSX lights, and most likely there would belittle PMDG could do to make them much brighter. All the default FSX lights arepretty weak.

I noticed the way too dim on my airports from Flytampa. I've only flown into and out of my Flytampa fsx ports, that might be it.
