November 9, 201114 yr Hi all,An old problem returns. Just upgraded to ASE and discover my panel flashes regularly I assume as the weather updates. I have the latest drivers and updates installed. I believe reading past posts this is something to do with render to texture. If this is still the case can someone take me through a workaround. Don't really want to risk ctd s or the like. Also another quick question. About 50Ft to land at Palma my wilco A319 nearly crashed as the right wing suddenly dipped about 40 degrees a go at wake turn simulation perhaps but not really too impressed with that. Is that what it was ? Been using asv for years and loving hifi products. Just need to rid myself of this flicker if possible. Thanks Graham
November 10, 201114 yr I also am having this flicker problem. I have had it for awhile but just narrowed it to Active Sky 6.5. Pat Callaghan Jr. Ryzen 9-9900x Asus Tuf Gaming 870x 64gig DDR5 ram, RTX 4070 Super Win 11 Pro
November 11, 201114 yr Commercial Member FSX or FS9?Render to texture option should be experimented with (if FS9), as this indeed can have an effect. You may also want to try different weather depiction modes. As the second post involves a different product entirely, I'll ask that a new thread be posted for that. November 24, 201114 yr Author It's actually FS9 that the panel flickers for me. The icing on the cake for this program for me would that the weather does not injected into fs when maybe below 10,000 feet. Or if it's directly associated with weather updates downloaded. I think asv6.5 was more like this so the flicker and updates always happened enroute so less noticeable. Graham
November 26, 201114 yr Author I've gone back to 32 bit texture clouds and unticked render to texture and all is well. No flickering and higher frame rates ;-)
