Numerous people have mentioned that their posts seem to go "missing", only to magically appear again later. I have experienced it as well -- can make one quite "paranoid".Today, I discovered the reason why posts might 'appear" to be missing.After viewing the FIRST (Top) Page of the forum, you have two options."View more topics" or "Next"If you select "next", it loads in the "NEXT" set of sequentally dated topics (as expected)However, if you select "View more topics", it SKIPS about a page of Topics, before it loads in the next set of sequential topics.So using "View more Topics", you will effectrive SKIP loading in, every other page of topics, and topics on those SKIPPED pages will appear to you to be missing.Note: If you use NEXT, page count will increase in whole number of pages ie 1, 2 3If you use View More Topics, , page count will increase in 1.5 pages !!!!So, solution is to always use "NEXT", and not use "View more topics" :)

Either one works. I usually just scroll through the pages looking for stars next to topics I've posted in.

The point I was making, is that there is an ISSUE with using the "View more Topics" button, to view additional Topics -- It skips Half a page of topics, each time it is used -- and this is most likely the explanation as to why people are thinking that posts go missing.

LOL -- There is no arguement -- The "View more Topics" acts in a "Strange" way !!!!!It would better be called "View an earlier random set of Topics, skipping a few for good measure"

That explains a lot. They should remove that feature from avsim if it doesn't work....

I have previously mentioned to Tom, that there was something odd happening, where Topics seemed to dissappear, and then re-appear later, but he assured me, that that was not happening However, after discoveing the "View More Topics" is in fact, skipping a 1/2 page of topics, every time it is used, that would explain why it can APPEAR that topics are missing.I am left wondering, why it does in fact SKIP 1/2 a page each time .... looks to me like a
