What you described wasn't a fault at all , it's just that the camera position is too close to the aircraft , as if you are standing in the tail itself .

The original " problem " with invisible aircraft or textures being messed up had to do with the DX10 preview being switched on after FSX Acceleration was installed .

Exactly. I have mine fixed. I added it to the existing conversation for info only.

 

In aircraft.cfg, changing the first parameter in InitialXyz = 1.5, 0.5, -4.2 in [CameraDefinition.0] from 1.5 to 1.8, InitialXyz = 1.8, 0.5, -4.2 is a permanent fix.

 

I don't use Directx10 preview.
