November 17, 201114 yr hi,I wonder if there's a way to get AI SWA flights to appear at FTs KSFO... I have tried to add the SWA code to the affected gates in the AFCAD but they still don't show up. I use an AI pack by WOAI so there a schedules flights by SWA to KSFO. The parking radius of the gates are also sufficient for the B737. any ideas?/Johan /Johan Windh
November 19, 201114 yr Hi JohanI thought someone else would reply and help you more than I can but as nobody has answered, I did some checking. I decompiled my WoAI SouthWest file and there's no airport listing for KSFO and therefore no flights. But mine may not be the latest version. I use an AFCAD that I downloaded on AVSIM that uses the x-wind technique to activate all the runways and it does have a few gates for SWA.I honestly can't think of a logical explanation as to why your flights aren't showing up. Have you checked "across the bay" at Oakland, which I think is served by SWA?Hope you can find a solutionCheersIan
November 20, 201114 yr I did a decompile from the installer for a manual installation out of curiosity. Oakland has a schedule. Real world KOAK has lots more SWA activity than KSFO, particularly short hops. This leads me to suspect that maybe KSFO was not added until after 2006.I would suspect one could take the WOAI flghtplans.txt, duplicate some lines, and just substitute the airport KSFO for KOAK. You would also need to add a line in the airports.txt file for KSFO. The real world flights (from flightaware.com) at KSFO seemed to be longer hauls so there would not be that many to edit in.There are a few utilities that can ease the pain :). Here's one from ASVSIM:aifc175.zipWhat might be able to be done is copy the decompiled world of AI flights into it and add what you want using this utility, then recompile. The is another utility by the author of FS Flight Keeper called AI Traffic Mover at:http://www.molitor-home.de/FS/AITM/You install first the the FS8 version followed by the FS9 alpha update. Read the docs about installing TTools2.exe which came with the WOAI installer.Create a project folder and copy the three .txt files from the WOAI decompiled manual installation folder. Rename the files airports.txt, flightplans.txt, and aircraft.txt. Now add a line in airports.txt for KSFO.Here is Oakland's for reference from the WOAI supplied file:KOAK,N37* 43.26',W122* 13.23',3Now I see that real world Oakland's airport elevation is about 8 feet. FS9's default airports.txt has:KOAK,N37* 43.26',W122* 13.23',7 which is closer to the real world so I'd say that the the line I copied below is OK to use as is.From a project I did here is the default location for KSFO:KSFO,N37* 37.35',W122* 22.48',10You would insert that line so it is in alphabetical order to airports.txt.Now you should be able to open up that project folder in AITM. As I recall, you can now create a plan by modifying schedules and inserting a new plan. now, it takes quite a while to build the reports for the grids it will create for you to use. no, your PC has not crashed. It is doing a lot of crunching.Make your changes and then recompile. Don't use the randomize tool - ever - or you'll lose the original schedules.Check out the docs from that site. There is a forum but this free software is not supported very much:http://www.molitor-home.de/fs/forum/The help file in the AITM folder is the documentation and is in HTML format. Bookmark this page adjusted for your installation:file:///H:/AITM/Help/index.htmland it will provide the links you need. If in Win 7 or Vista set AITM.exe properties to run as admin. You might have to create a shortcut to TTools and set the shortcut property to run as admin as well and then adjust AITM to call up the TTols shortcut. Try it without doing that. Actually, just create the plan bgl in the project folder and then after compiling copy it to the "H:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9SceneryWorldscenery" folder adjusted for your FS installation. Make sure you do not name the compiled file traffic.bgl but something xxxxxxxtraffic.bgl that is unique so you do not overwrite anything.Leave any WOAI afcads out of the installation so it does not conflict with your add-ons afcads. It is OK to use them for default afcads.Difficult but rewarding. Think of all of the cargo flights you can add your favorite airports to particularly missing cargo destinations. Cargo schedules and routes are difficult to obtain as they are not published probably for security reasons.

I have all the woai plans and aircraft but wanted a more updated flightplans for WA so I down loaded AIG newest SWA flight plans. Now just open the Aircraft.txt file that can with AIG and just change the names to your WOAI planes names. Easiest way is to open Woai aircraft.txt file then next to it ope up AIG aircraft.txt file and just copy over the names. I've done many of my airlines like this and it takes 15-20 mins per airline. That way you keep the excellent WOAI models and have new flightplans. Works great.

I will have a try. When changing the names, you change everything, but leave the AC#.. correct?Like:Thanx to all of you for your input guys! /Johan Windh
November 21, 201114 yr Author Update: Well, it worked!!! Now SWA is found at KSFO! Thanx! /Johan Windh
November 21, 201114 yr Update: Well, it worked!!! Now SWA is found at KSFO! Thanx!Glad to here it. I've done most of the Major Airlines like that. And SWA is actually the most time consuming!! What it take you, 15 mins? :)) Glad you got it

I then renamed the AIG aircraft-, flightplan- and airport files to the name of my old WOAI files and re-compiled.Voila! /Johan Windh
