November 27, 201114 yr I made one but I'm still getting a ton of shimmering. I essentially used the same profile for XP as I do for FSX (in fsx it looks excellent!).Any tips? If I don't use a profile I can turn on HDR AA within XP but it drops the frames significantly. It's still very usable but panning with TIR is rough on the eyes. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
November 27, 201114 yr Hi Ryan, some things you could try to improve performance:.set triple buffering to ON (in this case try also locking frame rates inside X-Plane).anisotropic filter and sample optimization ON.try turning off antialiasing (don't know how it's called in nVidia inspector, probably something like "let the application choose") and setting _ONLY_ HDR Anti Aliasing inside X-Plane "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".

December 2, 201114 yr One thing I saw recently is that for other game profiles, settings the ANTI-ALIASING - BEHAVIOUR FLAGS to TREAT OVERRIDE AS APPLICATION CONTROLLED and it seems to make the application think that it controls the anti-aliasing instead of the driver, but it's only to fool the program for compatibility settings. You might also set the Mult-Display/Mixed GPU Accelleration from Multi Display to Single Display if you're running on single display only or one giant display for triple/dual head applications like nVidia surround or ATI/AMD Eyefinity. Would theoretically force all the processing to focus on improving the main screen in focus instead of all screens. Aaron
December 2, 201114 yr Author THanks, I forgot to follow up with some of the threads I started...Things look good but I'm not using nvidia inpsector. I'm using in game settings of 16x and 8x aa - no HDR or special effects. Also I turned shadows to overlay - they were creating the psychedelic colors lol... | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
