Anti Aliasing working?

Featured Replies

AA is not working for me at all... I just realized that's one of my largest visual issues. Non vs 16x - zero difference. The only difference I get is when I use HDR FXAA or the second option. And I get AA if I force a nvidia inspector profile.

Ok now it is argh... this happened last night too. Thought it was a fluke, but I ran XP10 again and the AA seems to be working, except I've got a lot of artifacts still. Check out these examples (all WITHOUT nvidia profile and all in game settings)...1. 16x AF 8x AA with no special effects boxes checked:16xaf8xaanospecial.jpg2. 16x AF 8x AA with two left special effects boxes checked:16xaf8xaawithspecial.jpg3. 16x AF 8x AA with all special effects but no HDR AA:16xaf8xaawithspecialandHDR.jpg4. 16x AF 8x AA with all special effects and max HDR AA:16xaf8xaawithspecialandHDRandsxaa.jpg

Ryan,According to Ben's Blog some i7 chips are using the onboard built-in GPU, have you check this in your BIOS.It looks like you got things working now, I'm gonna try what you did and see if I get any change.

The last two images don't have "colored shapes".I just did a test with your settings, I have the 570 SC also. With shadows turned on medium I get the colored shapes, blue & green as well. No HDRI put shadows back to static, no problems.

Yeah but the second from last has no AA. Hard to tell from the picture that was cropped down from 1920x1080 but there's no AA. I'm not flying a sim without AA yuck! The bottom pic has AA only set by HDR special effect but the frame loss was horrible. There's no way I could fly on that setting and I have a very fast PC.edit: Regarding horrible frame loss - I noticed the meter doesn't show it but the second I get into an airplane it dives to about 8-12 fps in that mode.

Well,Ben's working on it.HDR with AA or without is not good enough me.Our systems are very close, no need to O/C any farther. It's a graphic issue.

I mainly made to the post to see if others are getting the same issue... I know there's a bunch of FSX and 9 guys that run with minimal AA and AF. Wow it's just nasty hehe.

Ryan,You probably know this, but just for the heck, you do know there is an X-Plane profile in Nvidia Inspector?

I have the same issue with the blue/green shadows. Did somebody report the bug ?
