"Microsoft Flight Simulator has Stopped Working"

Featured Replies

I have searched for this on Google, but it always seems to be the result of some 3rd. programme. My problem is that I keep getting the error message "Microsoft Flight Simulator 9.0 has Stopped Working" when I close FS9 normally, after a flight. I click the cross at the top right-hand side of the FS9 window, or choose Ctrl+C, or one of the 'usual' ways to close FS9, and choose 'yes' at the prompt as to whether I want to close FS, but get this error message - Windows then goes on line to look for a 'solution' (I cancel that, and the restart of FS9).Is there a log file that might say why this is happening? Anyone else had this and found a solution? Thanks,Martin

Hello Martin,Yes, I know this annoying 'gremlin'. I'm afraid I don't have a solution. Regarded it just as one of the hick-ups of Windows 7. In my case a few weeks ago this message stopped appearing; I assumed that Microsoft had corrected it in one of their updates, but from your post this seems to be a wrong assumption. I'm aware this is doesn't help you, but at least you know you're not the only one. Maybe someone else will come up with a solution.Kind regards,René

No, I don't use FSinn (didn't know what it was till I Googled it)..The problem doesn't occur every time I close down FS9, maybe 50%. Well, at least I know it is not unique to my setup. I didn't always get it, so maybe it will stop at some stage..Thanks for the replies,M.
