February 6, 200422 yr I see so many painters doing liveries in American Airlines 'Astrojet' colors. In the scheme of things I think this is a very cool and most innovative livery choice to bring back considering the rest of the airline world has adopted a more modern look. What I would like to know is are the 'Astrojets' real world colors that American Airlines is bringing back or is this just something pointers are doing in the FS Community??? I've looked on Airliners.net and at real airports and have not seen planes such as 737's with this old color scheme. Usually companies like PMDG don't do schemes unless they are real world colors. The old 'Astrojet' theme was used by AA many years ago before the 737NG was thought of yet there's a livery option for this scheme offered by PMDG.Thanks to anyone who could clear this up... February 6, 200422 yr The astro jet retro scheme was used on at least one 757 I know as well as a 737-800. These are real schemes, not fictional.Eric AND

February 7, 200422 yr Thanks guys..:-wave So is American Airlines bringing this livery back??? It would be cool if this became the main AA livery (totally different from every other airlines' standard)... February 7, 200422 yr It was a special retro scheme American did for one reason or another, can't remember why. I know the B752 is now wearing the mainline scheme again, most likely the B738 is too. To answer your question, No they are not going "back" to that scheme. :-outta http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/dcforum/User_files/3e72a43942b48d2b.jpg There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".- unknown "My daddy gives me up, to fight for you"- a US Military Members Child
