For the first time I got no pushback from the gate at NTAA. The groudie said release brakes and so I did and nothing happened. I had all the parameters set properly, tried 3 times and ended up having to slew back. Then as I got to the hold bars ready to back taxi to 4 and was going through the taxi check with the FO all of a sudden the groudies voice came on and said pushback complete set parking brake and that whole dialog went on. I hit the disconnect button on the secondary panel and then the plane started pushing back! What the heck went on there? This is the first time this has happened.

Hi Marc,I'm not sure. If it just happened once though, it could just a be a one-off hiccup.Sounds like a step got missed, though, somewhere in the pushback procedure.

Could it may have been because I accidentally left clicked on green button skipped ahead to after takeoff and climb on the main panel trying to right click on it to switch from PAF to HDG? This is done in the setup to keep the FO from pressing profile and navigation after takeoff. I did this early in the setup before PAX boarding.

It could be... you may have accidentally messed up the order.And since you said this only happened once, I would say that's a likely explanation.Best,

Bryan,After using the NGX for a month I am back to the MD11 and just had the same thing happen at KSFO. The ground guys says beginning push, all other dialog goes well up to that point, park break is off but no pushback. I then tried it again and got him to push but with no turn, it was going to be an indefinate pushback untill I aborted. Then of course has to abort 2 times because I asked for 2 pushbacks. Maybe it was just a delayed reaction but I waited a minute before asking again. Normally it only takes a few seconds for him to start pushback.Hmmm

Just happened again at PHNL. I get the intro dialog, then when releasing breaks nothing happens. If I hit the abort button the default FSX pushback utility begins the push, strait back regardless of what direction I have set. The hitting abort again is the only way to stop it. Then when I hit disconnect, I get the dialog and then the pushback starts again! I guess a re-install may be in order?

Does it happen everytime or just occasionally?Does it happen at every airport or just certain airports?Are you using AES or any other 3rd party push utilities?

I think I solved this problem along with many other issues that cropped up like wild 2d panel popups etc. I re-installed MD11 and FScrew. Not only is everything working correctly now but other issues I thought were MD11 bugs have now gone away like the FMS not reading weight info. I flew into YBBN yesterday and did an intant replay using FS recorder of my landing and it just occured to me that this is what may have corrupted my panel config. I cant live w/o instant replay in wing view, I know it is sick and twisted but hey. I guess I will see if it happens again but this is the only thing I can think of that may have corrupted the panel config.Thanks for the help though.

Glad you appear to have it sorted.If the FS Recorder is added to the panel.cfg as an extra window, you'll bust the MD-11's window limit.Best,
