December 10, 201114 yr Yes, I'm still here. :)I just installed RC4 on a Windows 7 machine. The installation completed without any problems. When I try to run RC, I'm told "Component MSINET.OCX or one of its dependencies is not correctly registered: A file is missing or invalid."Of course I have no idea what this means. I'm going to go have a beer while JD figures out what I need to do.

December 10, 201114 yr Author Oh, OK. Haven't gotten around yet to installing VB on the new computer. Thanks.
December 10, 201114 yr Good to hear from you Sid. I have noticed you have been prolific in creating scenery object libraries and conversions and Canadian scenery.Win 7 does not contain some of the .dlls built in to earlier Win versions. Install those run-time dlls that jd linked to or the whole VB package if you use it.
December 10, 201114 yr Author Hi Ron! :)I did as JD instructed. A file search afterwards shows MSINET.OCX in folder Windows/SysWOW64. Despite that I get the same error when trying to run RC.
December 11, 201114 yr http://forum.avsim.net/topic/265834-713-and-unregistered-dlls/ has many methods to try. It seems to vary. Be sure when registering .ocx and .dll files you are logged in as admin. It seems many covered their tracks by placing those files in both the syswow64 and system32 folders.
December 12, 201114 yr Author I registered the file manually and all is well. Got my new key and am up and running. Thank goodness...the thought of having to go back to using the default ATC for IFR flights was a depressing one.
