Hi Russ,I'm assuming this is a networked installation since you mentioned LAN.What version of the SimConnect client do you have installed on your client machine? Does the AI traffic program operate correctly as mentioned in the networked setup chapter of the manual?

Hi, yes...You have RTM SimConnect Client (60905), and we require minimum SP1 (61242). In case you're wondering why (it's a common question), it's because of significant changes to the weather handling in simconnect between RTM and SP1/SP2 and several bugs fixed in RTM which we needed to rely on to implement our weather depiction processes. The solution would be to install the SDK/updates (SP1A and/or SP2) then run the simconnect client installation again (simconnect.msi), as per the manual. This should get you where you need so that AS (any FSX-compatible flavor) will run on FSX.Can you confirm?

HiThat all seemed to work, no more errors however the splash screen now shows FSX as Disconnected!

Hi Russ, do you mean the main screen at the top? You are not getting FS to connect even when it is running? Have you run the AI traffic program to confirm that the simconnect configuration is ok, and that you have properly unblocked the specific port?

I'm not familiar with Electronic Flight Bag or which version of SimConnect it uses, but it may be different from what we use (We default to SP2, but use SP1 if SP2 is not found - RTM SimConnect is not supported in ASE/AS2012).Did the AI traffic program run without problems? In any case please open a ticket at http://support.hifitechinc.com and we can assist.
