December 17, 201114 yr All, I have just installed FS2Crew the Special Edition for the Evolution Airbuses and am getting a CTD when i load any of the A330's.I was wondering having seen the DEP workaround for Win7 if there is something similar i have to do for XP64 as the problem appears similar.I am able to do a fresh install of the Wilco Airbuses and no crashes occur, so there appears to be something going on when FS2Crew is installed.Any help is appreciated. ThanksWilliam.
December 17, 201114 yr Commercial Member Hi William,Generally you shouldn't have to do it in XP from experience, but try it anyway:http://forums.techarena.in/guides-tutorials/1119812.htmAlso make sure you're not using saved situation files; sometimes those can cause problems.Best, B. December 17, 201114 yr Author Byork,Thanks for the help and the link, I was unaware about Saved Files causing problems which most likely is the cause now that i look at it. Most of my flights are from "Saved Flights", just to save the time of selecting airport, time etc...I will try that first then, if that doesnt work, I will try the above link to see if that works. My suspicion is the "Saved Flights" now that you mention it.If there are any other complications, may I post them here??Cheers again for your assistance Byork.William.
December 18, 201114 yr Author Starting from a "Saved Flight" definately appears to be the problem here. Not starting from one works fine every time. Saved File startup = CTD always.
December 19, 201114 yr Commercial Member Glad you got it sorted!Saved flights can cause problems, especially if saved from a VC cockpit.Best, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
