Install your Rex backup then when reinstalling Rex textures deselect the lights options on the config form

do you mean the "lightning effects" or do you mean the three "light themes"?

all three options on 'light themes' as this will keep the existing light textures

I had this problem only with the MD-11 a while ago, only with the landing lights though. Since then I always leave the Landing Lights option unchecked inside REX, works for me. :)But I have installed the strobes though, no problems for me with that.

ok guys thanks for the help, give it a try....but i guess the MD11 dont have these problmes cause the light technic has changed in the ngx...with those special ground-strobe, and groundtaxi/land light effect

Folks who have also changed their light textures in REX to the "Real Air Duke" set find this fixes any issues in regards. You can also de-select the landing light texture in the REX options control panel so it's not overwritten each time. Cheers :)
