Two questions regarding NGX

Featured Replies

Hello there,I have an issue with the NGX and not exactly sure how to fix it, and I would appreciate any help. The aircraft is working fine, fantastic product, however I do have two problems with it as I go on the multiplayer. One of them, is I can't see other people's liveries, although they have PMDG installed too, it just shows as house colours. The other issue is when I try to share my cockpit, just before 100% loaded, it pops up with an error "Error loading flight instruments/gauges" or something like that, can't remember the exact message now. Everything seems to be loaded, apart from the black FMC.I have installed the SP1 update, and I also have the expansion pack (600/700). I am on a Windows 7 64-bit system here. And a final question, if you wouldn't mind, I have an Intel Pentium Dual Core E5220 2.5GhZ processor, and I am aware that it is in the minimum requirements range for the 737 NGX, however trouble is for some time I can't buy a new processor (money and all that lot), and I can't even overclock it since it's locked. Is there anyway of improving the FPS in the cockpit? I'm lucky if I get 10-12 FPS, which is bad, considering I get about 30 FPS outside on a custom scenery.Thank you :)Kamil Bonczyk

Don't know about for the livery. As for the shared cockpit, I believe pmdg is planning to include this in a future update, as the default FSX one can't cope with the complexity of the Ngx. As for performance, have a try tweaking your FSX.cfg with this tool: http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html

For your performance problems it would be great if you could give us your settings so that we could tell you which ones to reduce. And please sign your full name to your posts. It says so in the forum rules and if you violate them your posts can be deleated without any warning.

Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!

Apologies, I guess I haven't read the rules properly, I've amended my first post.Which settings would that be? The FSX ones or ones inside fsx.cfg? FSX settings are set pretty low, no bloom, no aircraft shaders, cloud draw distance at 60 miles, water shader High 1x, traffic all below 20% as well all scenery settings slided somewhere along the middle, textures are set at very high. I tried unticking high resolution virtual cockpit, but that only gave me a frame per second or so extra, not a big change.Edit: kjjj thanks for the tweak, it only improved slightly the FPS, but I still get quite low FPS in the cockpit. 13 FPS maximum it seems.
