December 18, 201114 yr Windows 7 64bitMicrosoft Flight Simulator 2004PMDG 737 600/700 800/900 (CD-ROM)I am using PMDG737-800.When an airplane carries out a final approach, PAPI light shines all white. Also at the time of low approach, PAPI light shines all white. What is a cause ?
December 19, 201114 yr HiDon't know how experienced you are, but white lights indicate you're too high and red lights indicate you're too low. You need two reds and two whites showing.Hope that helpsALW
December 19, 201114 yr Author Hi.Thank you for answering. Also at the time of the best approach using ILS, "PAPI Light" shines all white. Also at the time of low approach, "PAPI light" shines all white....
December 19, 201114 yr It's not unusual for the visual reference to be different from the ILS, but it's normally noted on the approach chart. The PAPI function doesn't have anything to do with PMDG, except that in a long or large aircraft the cockpit of often higher than the electronics reference on the glide slope but all white when too low sounds really odd. Go find a VASI and see if that is working for you. Dan Downs KCRP
