December 22, 201114 yr Is it possible, if I have 2 video cards in my system, the have the main card hooked up to run FSX in full screen, and the second card running Plan-G, or other aps that require windowed mode?
December 22, 201114 yr No you will not be able to run FSX in full screen and see the other applications on your second monitor as the screen will go blank. In order to run FSX and view apps on the second monitor you will have to run in windowed mode.Regards,Bob
December 22, 201114 yr 2 different cards may work. We know that 2 video feeds from the same card DO NOT work, but would FSX take over both cards in Full Screen Mode?
December 23, 201114 yr This is an interesting question....Anybody tried? 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
December 23, 201114 yr Author Yeah I thought so too. I am surprised I can't find anyone who has tried this yet? I am going to give it a shot with a USB graphic adapter tonight
December 23, 201114 yr Why do folks insist on running FSX in full-screen mode? You can run FSX windowed with the window active area sized to the screen and you would never know the difference. Further, you can do size the FSX window automatically via an AuoHotKey script. See here.Cheers,- jahman.
December 23, 201114 yr ...I get much better FPM when on full screen mode .....Now, regardless of the mode, FSX with dual card, from my previous experience, you gonna get hit hard on the frame .... Yair
December 26, 201114 yr Same here, higher fps in full screen mode, compared to running in windowed mode... 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel.
