December 29, 201114 yr Well I was going to start a thread but this is pretty close to my issue. My temperatures haven't been correct on the NGX from day 1. I started up a flight cold and dark. Set the OAT to -49 degrees. NGX has all temperatures around 30C. Once I start up the APU and get some air going the ducts are all around 30 degrees as well. if I move 1 temperature knob the other 2 temperatures will sky rocket and set off the temperature lights. It's not THAT big a deal but I thought it was fixed... Maybe someone on here has some suggestions. I just uninstalled the plane and reinstalled it. December 29, 201114 yr A side question, do windows heat have some sort of effect or are them just a cosmetic feature ? Same question for wings and engine anti-ice.If I do not toggle them on I notice no difference despite the temperature is 25 below or above zero Celsius.Thx

I just uninstalled the plane and reinstalled it.On the ground, if the OAT is -49C, the cabin temp sensor will cause the system to pump out all the heat it can if the cabin is cold. A lot of pilots turn the temp selectors to off, and that keeps the duct temps from spiking. Once the jet has warmed up, then you can select a normal position. That may be after takeoff. Matt Cee

And this is logical! If you, in the morning, open and start the airplane, the cabin temperature will be close to the outside. If you have an hot airplane, because the temperature outside is hot, then, the wheater changes, the cabin will need some time to cold by itself.PMDG probably simulates a rate of change for the temperature with ambient air.
