I personaly think all modern passenger aircraft should have them as they put all the info the pilot needs right infront of him.
Boeing agrees with you! Unfortunately, airlines these days are run by accountants, so Boeing has taken this decision away from them. They believe that the HUD is the biggest advancement in safety for the modern airliner, so it is standard on the 787. If you want to remove it, they will (for a small fee...hehehe)I just wish they would make it standard on the 747-8 as well. I wonder if the 737 Max series will come with it standard as well.

A few days ago I made my first ever autoland in FSX. Since I have never done it before Autoland is becoming more fun than hand flying! The HGS was great with the autoland, now I need some bad weather at my destinations to really use it! I will probably add some low visability weather for my flight into BCN in a few days LOL.gif
