RC's interaction with AI... (or lack of interaction)

Featured Replies

Hey guys,I have RC 4 for FSX. In the settings I have it ticked to interact with AI. It does this to a certain extent. However there are some problems. When I push back from the gate, if an AI plane is taxiing on the taxiway which I have just been pushed back on, it doesn't stop, it just taxi's right through me. Is there a way to fix this? Also when I am being cleared for final I get close to the runway and notice sometimes ATC has cleared an aircraft to line up and wait, thus I have to go around (by my own accord ATC doesn't even tell me to go around!)IS there anyway I can fix these issues as this addon was a lot of money and it just doesn't seem that good at all.Kind Regards,Dan

RC when you are on the last tower segment will freeze ai attempting to enter the runway. There is no other ground protection on ai. On final for the last segment RC should speed up aircraft in front or slow down those behind.Ground protection regarding ai motion is otherwise up to FS in this RC version. For additional protection on final from the FSX utilities library install ai smooth v1.2 that works in FS9 and FSX. Turn off its atc voice and text options to avoid confusion and conflict. You can try to run with respond to user aircraft on or off. To avoid long take-off queues especially dyring the FS ai catch-up rush for take-off and arrival ai bunching up after a flight is loaded, set the spacing parameters so that ai can take-off between arrivals on final.
