December 30, 201114 yr On my client PC, I have FS Commander that must use WideFS. I also have AS2012 that prefers SimConnect. So, my plan is to use both WideFS and SimConnect at the same time. I'm wondering if AS2012 is going to get confused and not know if it should use SimConnect or WideFS? Am I creating a problem with this setup? If so, I can just use WideFS and remove SimConnect, but them I think I lose some AS2012 functionality (as I believe it's optimized for SimConnect).Any comments appreciated.James
December 31, 201114 yr I used to get horrific stutters/pauses using RC4 over widefs and ASE DWC on simconnect (networked laptop), eliminate one and the problem was gone
December 31, 201114 yr Author Thanks Gents. Just completed my first flight and no probs with WideFS as you stated Jim. Kand, I had some crazy stuttering until I switched to DWC.James
December 31, 201114 yr I've been running FSFK, RC4, and all FSX compatible variants of Activesky on a client PC, over both WideFS/FSUIPC and the simmconnect-client respectively, since the day FSX hit the streets. The two simultaneous pipes have never conflicted and have never resulted in any issues, period. Regards, Al Jordan | KCAE
