uncommanded roll at final approach

Featured Replies

Hello, I must say that I have not experienced any of the 'bugs' that have been posted about untill now. Excellent product. But I must report this problem I did have on final approach to EGKK runway 26L. At about 200ft RA I experienced a uncomnanded roll and hit the ground. Couldnt overide in time. This may not be anything related to the NGX. But I feel like it could be. I have the latest service pack (SP1B).Any ideas? Thanks,Stephen Suddaby

Wake turbulence. You landed too close behind another big jet.

I was under control of ATC at the time, not sure if there had been an a/c ahead of me that landed

Si there wake turbulence in FSX? Btw, you can't have a commanded roll, let alone an uncommanded one...

If you have AES, it could be wake turbulence but I don't think that wake turbulence is modeled in either default FSX weather or REX.

I am pretty sure that families of everyone killed by uncommanded rolls due to 737 rudder hardovers would disagree. And as everyone else has mentioned Wake turbulence is caused by Active sky and should be switched off.http://www.b737.org.uk/rudder.htm
