Does a second video card make a difference?

Featured Replies

I have a geforce GTX 460 video card and wondering if getting a second card using the sli feature would improve my frames at all. Still have low frames at addon airports like FSDT kord. I was told by the vendor when I went to buy a card that FSX does not utilize sli so it wont make a difference on single monitor. So is this feature hardware or software driven?

Simple and straight answer is no FSX is depanding on cpu not gpu from what i have heard if you get a 560Ti will improve a little bit in fps and stutters but not much

FSX does not support SLi, as I discovered years ago when I too had 2 NVidia cards running in SLI mode, so it would be a waste of money getting another similar card. You'd be better off putting that money towards a GTX 560 Ti such as the Gainward GS version which has walked off with CPC's GPU recommendation in one its recent issues.
