IRIS F-14 problem

Featured Replies

Hello,I am experiencing some problems with the IRIS F-14. I usually start cold and dark, and follow some instructions from a video. So, the engines start up successfully and I proceed to takeoff. After taking off and flying around for a couple of minutes, both engines fail at the same time, from what seems to be a compressor stall. I can restart the engines, but what am I doing wrong?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin L

I would follow this tutorial on starting from cold-n-dark:

As to your specific cause, I don't know, as I followed that vid, and haven't had an engine failure...Also something specific to the IRIS f14, is that you can enable auto-wing sweep via _opening the canopy_ and pressing shift-e-3 which will then toggle the auto-wing sweep switch on the left side of the cockpit....it won;t work without the canopy being opened. Apparently there is also a patch for this http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/topic/8083-f-14-auto-wing-sweep-question/.That's all I know as I've only had this for a couple of weeks since the rediculous $10 IRIS sale! :Shocked:Cheers-Jonathan

Cheers,

Jonathan

Havnt flown for a while, but i think on the left panel next to the red white striped thngy there are 2 switches taht need to be in auto, i think they are for the intakes.
