SGA A300 brakes

Featured Replies

The brakes on the new A300 seem to have zero effect. Neither the normal brakes, nor the parking brake accomplish anything and even the thrust reverse seems weak. Any ides? Thanks in advance.Misha

I note the same. Perhaps best to ask directly on the SGA forum.

Hey Gang! Are you guys using the panel by Benoit? If you are, there's your culprit. Before I installed this panel, I was test driving another panel and the aircraft behaved beautifully; as soon as I installed Benoit's panel, VOILA!!!!!!! No brakes - even the emergency brake has no effect. If you guys find a solution, please let me know.Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

If you're using rudder pedals with FS, calibrate them and the brakes should work.

Benoit's panel works fine with other aircraft such as the Airbus A-310; brakes work as well. Sooooo!!!!!! There may be some compatibility issues between the FFX/SGA A-300 and enoit's panel. Any other panels out there for this beautiful bird?????Thanks!Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

But if it's the panel, there should be something we can do. I thought I had activated all the hydraulics before flying. :-hmmm Misha

I checked the SGA model that appears in Avsim and there's no AA livery. Or either the aircraft that came with Benoit's worked really well, but I don't know where to get any AA livery for it.Does anybody know if I can find an AA livery that works with any of these tow models.I can't believe that the only two AA A300 are the FS 2000 projectairbus, and the one designed by Aji Mostafa. The first one looks ugly (was good for FS2000, but there should be something better already), the second one I cannot make it fly (doesn't climb beyond FL150).Thanks,Leo

I response to the brake problem I believe I have found a workaround for it. All I did was load the default cessna in the sim, taxi it and then tap the brakes. Then I just load the SGA A300 with the panel and it works like a charm for me. Let me know if it works for you!Richard Wheatley

Hey Leo!Patience My Friend - Patience!!!!!!!!!!American Airlines does not fly this version of the A-300; they fly the A-300-600R version, which SGA has not released as of yet. When that model is released, I'm sure you will see plenty of nice repaints, including American Airlines, which I am eagerly awaiting as well.Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

yes, they do fly the A300-600. There is another a300-600 coming out from aerodesigns as well. VERY detailed http://aerodesigns.tk/ take a look. AND they have your cherished American Airlines livery tooAlan

OK. I will try that. Though that seems like an odd thing. My default flight is the Cessna, so I don't understand why the brakes wouldn't work.Misha

Alan:Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! But, when, when, when?I have waited for months to get a decent AA A-300. Can

The problem is similar to the drained battery. It occurs when you turn on the electric pumps of the hydraulics if you start with a saved flight.Workaround:1. Start the flight with the default 737 or any other default jet with engines running:2. Change to the A300 and shut down the engines via CTRL-SHIFT-F13. Bring up the failures section of the panel and select cold start. Then continue with the usage per manual.

I found it looking in Google. Just wrote "Jaifree Lin American" and there's a ling to Simviation where you can get the AA repaint.http://www.simviation.com/fs2002jets74.htmGet that plane. You will not get dissapointed. It's the best A-300 you can get anywhere.Leo
