Strict man he was, anything non-flight deck related did not stand a chance. I became so paranoid by that ruling that even as I transitioned to the Islander as PIC (single pilot), the though of a camera did not even cross my mind. January 7, 201214 yr Author Commercial Member The RW company was at the time Payne Air Charter Services, I then left and went over to fly with my cousin (now deceased N100GT)) flying a Baron and a BN2-Islander, mainly because of the location and being able to acquire more flight time.The aircraft in the pic is from the flyOasis VA which did not last too long. January 8, 201214 yr Author Commercial Member Thanks Al, it was a crazy day, but a fun one. We were moving cargo between SXM and AXA for some hotels. He took me back to Antigua (where I lived at the time), and made one final stop in SXM on his way back to AXA. Unfortunately the flight from SXM back to AXA was his last flight. His spirit still lives on with me and has been my inspiraton through the different paces of my aviation career, even though I am not flying anymore due to type 1 diabetes (everything happens for a reason).Well believe it or not. We used to fly into SXM in the late afternoon when we were finished and go right be the Maho Beach Sunset Bar and pound a few. Then later in the evening just across the street there was a night spot known as the Q-Club (not sure if it is still there) and have a blast. I will have to check with some of my cousins who live in SXM and find out where some of the newer hang out spots are.
