That and some minor tweaks to the airfile, and now I'm satisfied with the results.
Can you please advise on the tweaks to the airfile?ThanksGhiom

I applied these tweaks. Hope this helps. Now, if someone knows of a similar tweak for the A330 and A340...Best regards from Colombia,Luis Miguel

AT YOUR OWN RISK: Post created on September 08 2011 11:19 ET What follows is some modifications to the Wilco A319, 320 and 321 .air files in order to make the flight model more accurate: ?1) .AIR mods: Get Aired to modify the .air files ( http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=89432) Credit to Fred Nikles on the old feelthere support forums: ( http://208.109.106.108/forum/pop_printe ... IC_ID=9176) The goal is to reduce Engine thrust by 10 to 20% at low N1 and about 250KIAS. 1. First make a copy of the original *.air files. (Just in case something goes wrong or you don't like my changes). Also be aware of the fact that there is no support for this kind of changes. You do it at own risk. 2. get the programm "AirEd". You can find it on the net... The A319, A320 and A321 have their own *.air files. While the A319 and A320 are (pretty?) similar. The one of the A321 seems to be a little different. You have to change all three files: 3. For A319 and A320: Open the corresponding *.air file Click on section "1506" - You see a table The first row shows N1-Settings (0, 19%, 30%, ...) The first column shows Speeds in mach (0=standing, 0.04=typical taxi speed, 0.40=typical 250KIAS below 10000ft, ...) I changed the six values for 19% and 30% Thrust and Speeds 0, 0.04 and 0.40. The original values are: 0.176 0.200 0.140 0.170 0.200 0.230 I changed them to 0.165 0.180 0.125 0.155 0.160 0.200 Save the *.air files of the A319 and the A320. 4. For the A321 the original values are: 0.176 0.200 0.140 0.170 0.120 0.160 I changed them to 0.176 0.200 (unchanged) 0.133 0.161 0.100 0.140 Save the *.air file of the A321. I also decided to improve the effectiveness of the airbrakes a bit. You'll find the value "Spoiler Drag=88" in section 1101. I changed the value to 160 which works well for me. Also, while you are on the 1101 section of the .air file, look for "Cdg Drag Coefficient - Landing gear" and change it to 100 2) Aircraft.CFG mods You can open this file with notepad. Go to the [Flaps.1] section. Where is says "drag_scalar=0.2" change it to 0.27 A319 only: Search for "static_thrust" thrust and change it to 23500 (default is 26500). I still need to compare it with the real A319 performance on my next flight, and will update if needed. With the mods above, you should be able to use normal procedures and be stable at 1000ft, with an aircraft that finally slows down as it should. This is for IAE variants so I am not sure how it will work on CFM's All thanks goes to Diego Pedraglio for then info. Thanks to a friend at BA Virtual for sending this info, and also a big thanks to Diego Pedraglio for the information.

Thanks RayGhiomAny other good tweak available?

Hi GhiomEr yes - this one, its a Russian mod for a better higher res cockpit which I use and really like - aint going back to the old one any more. Link: http://www.avsimrus....?uploader=43638 *Note- this does not work for the A318.One other thing though: Shockwave lights will mess up your plane big time. As shockwave installs some gauges in the panel cfg, it seems from some forums that the Evolution has been hardwired to work with its modified .gau files and any changes to the panel, it no likee. However the Russian mod does work OK. I also downloaded some add on engine sounds which are much better than the default - they are on Avsim, search for Skyhigh systems by Adam Murphy.Ray

I see two cockpit texture sets for the Wilco Airbus. Which one is the one I should download? The 20-MB one or the 77-MB one?Best regards from Colombia,Luis Miguel
