If it wasn't for bad luck..........

If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all. Lost Win7 32 bit last night, Win 7 apparently just run under the porch and wouldn't come out at all. Widows just would not start,Get a BSOD going into Safe Mode. wouldn't repair itself, Finally got a message that it was the nVidia driver was messed up. finally gave up and reinstalled Win 7, hmmm, good time to go to 64 bit. And that finally worked out. Took all night and most of today, getting everything back in shape. Did have good backups and amazingly they all worked. Finally got a look at XP 10 in 64 bit. Looks like it improved it some, clouds don't look tooo bad, not as good as in beta 7, but i can tolerate it. Seems to have increased the fps some too, can now run HDR. and still have 30 fpsSecond bad luck. Just as I was getting to enjoy myself, my venerable old, (key word here is old), Flight Sim Yoke decided to break an arm. Just as I left the runway in the T34C Mentor, my flight Sim Yoke gave a shriek that ended with a groan, and the Mentor keeled hard right and drug a wing into the sand. that was the end. The hard part in all of this is trying to tell mama why if I have to have another yoke, I might as well get the Saitek Cessna yoke. If anyone has experience with it give us a mini review. If I get that then I'll have to get the Trim Wheel too, I had already planned on that anyway, so that won't be too big a deal. And of couse being as how I now have 64 bit OS I just have to get more memory, I told her that was the law. 64 bits one must have memory to be legal. So all in all perhaps its for the best. After all it's only money. Luckily I have my Saitek X 52 to fall back on.

Donald, I hear ya! That Saitek Cessna combo kit is also calling my name, lol. On the other hand, my CH FlightSim yoke is still working. How hard did you have to yank it before it broke? :Shocked:On another note, I saw that GoFlight is having a 20% sale while they finish their new website. Does anyone know, what are some of their must-haves for GA aviation?
